SAMOT Since 1917

2017 was a very special year in Samot, 100 years have passed since Severiano Quintana opened a small photo-recording workshop in Santander in 1917. Later, in the 1920s, his sons Alejandro and Tomás expanded the workshop into a thriving Optics and Photography business.

The fourth generation

In 1945, it was established in its current location, after the reconstruction of the store destroyed in the Santander Fire of 1941. During the following 30 years, the business was consolidated and became a benchmark in the city.

The fourth generation continues the saga in 1998 to this day. A responsibility and commitment that Guillermo Quintana together with his team develops with passion and energy.

Our own brand: Vito and Willy

We are very proud to have created our own brand that was born in the heart of Samot. We want to continue evolving our brand of high-end sunglasses and frames.
